Its easy lolita just buy it in rolls from B+Q then roll it out in your loft. Just dont fall through the roof.
Oh and its itchy so get some old cloths you can bin and work gloves.

 Its not challenging, dirty yes, awkward yes, hard work if the loft is full of stuff like mine was! Hardest bit is getting the stuff right up to the far end (where the soffit is) I used a broom and plenty mucle lol!

Need another 3 large rolls (these break down into 3 standard width rolls)

Just hope I see the benefit, the insulation is now twice as thick, around about 18 inches lol! :p

I seen adverts for £200 labour if you buy the stuff needed and you can get a grant towards it I think, I didnt bother with that.

On reflection £200 for a 4 bed detached seems good value! But its £200 saved now! (y)

Made a massive difference in our house foxy, and does hold in the heat.

You can tell who doesnt have loft insulation in the winter because snow on the roof melts :p

Lol yes I thought that would be interestin to see! Ideally we should all insulate under the upstairs floorboards too but what a pain having to remove all the freekin furniture, lift laminate floors / carpets....

if your going to cut it so it fits between the joists cut it in the wrapper with a panel saw(y)

and a decent dust mask P2 or P3 is a good idea too..

Dont forget DONT insulate under water tanks but insulate up the side and top this way heat from the house stops them freezing also lag any pipework with 1" or thicker split Foam insulation

lol great minds :D

ffoxy,is your tank in the loft?
make sure its lagged
often folk put loads of insulation in then wonder why the tank/pipes froze

Aye thanks Custard, tank and all pipes well lagged, it was all done before but wasnt up to modern standards.

Excellent point though... (y)

:D B&Q stuff was pre-cut, just had to separate the sections with a whack!

Bought the mask & gloves too but that stuff gets every feckin where!

Pipes have already got the split foam stuff on happily, but thanks for the tip on NOT lagging under the tanks Andy / Custard... that clearly a logical tip I would have miussed lol!

One last thing if you have soffit vents or a slight gap where you can see daylight DONT block that with insulation otherwise the air flow will stop running the risk of rotting timbers

Yea I clocked that one mate... do need ventilation, just not too much! (y)

I cant poo.

Having read your other thread, sorry but after a week you need something stronger. Glycerol suppositries will get you moving fast, then back it up with another laxative such as lactulose for a few days to keep moving until you get back to normal (y) Plenty of fluids as well :)

still no doughnuts

I give up, going shopping shortly and guess what I'll be buying?

Nothings made me grumpy (well what did got sorted lol), but just feel like I could burst out crying (for no reason and its not 'that time of the month' either)

 Watch a weepy film and have a good
