Why out of jars? Aren't cocktail glasses large enough?

You must have had the good fortune not to be dragged to a hipster food/drink place. Drinks come in jars...food is served in buckets or on a wooden board or I vaguely remember being served something in a planter..though I was drunk on craft beer at the time so I might have imagined it.

I'm glad I don't live in a hip and trendy area. I live in a 'local place for local people - we'll have none of that nonsense here...'

Seriously though - that sounds like a bloody nightmare - food served on wooden boards or slates. It looks interesting but never seems like a terribly hygienic way of doing things. I blame that crazy chef with the liquid nitrogen and snail porridge fetish.

I used to think I was safe...in fact where I live is so northern that I have a attended a cabaret evening in a working men's club where people who race pigeons belted out the Blaydon races in a none ironic way.

However it's slowly dawned on me that despite living in an old pit village 8 miles from Newcastle I live 100 yards from a massage parlour, farm shop and tea room selling locally grown food stuff and artisan cakes that was a curtain factory..200 yards from a micropub in an old post office selling only craft beer and one of my previous occupations involved working 2 days a week for people who offered services of horse logging (forestry with heavy horses) or reikki healing..

Oh and the none craft beer pubs are closing one by one..oh and the butcher has gone up market as well...

No - but I've got the book on sheds. A must read for any man!

50 Sheds of Gray?

Seriously! It's a thing..

My Sunday in the Metrocentre was enlivened by a Nissan Note making a bid for freedom.

Walking along with a corsa to my right and heard a crunch. Corsa had a Note against the rear quarter panel. Corsa pulls forward, note proceeds to roll back again into a row of parked cars. At this point I'm heading for it thinking the driver must have had a heart attack or be unconscious as there's no way you could miss having an accident at 5mph then have another 20 seconds later.

Get to the car and all is revealed...no driver appears the handbrake has popped off.

I was expecting you to say you got lost in that place, it's a flipping maze, I swear!

I'd be fuming if I was the Corsa driver. Even if it is a Corsa.

I used to work there so I know my way.

Tbf guy in the corsa was unlucky as it comes it just rolled at the moment he passed it having previously been sat like all the other cars. Me and the wife were lucky, if we'd been 10 seconds earlier and the corsa hadn't been there we would have been pinned between the Note and the cars it ended up resting on.

I would describe myself as being a hipster.

But only ironically.

I've seen your Instagram, you're definitely not a hipster, don't have any facial hair, which means you clearly don't have a range of organic beard waxes at home on your bed side table made from a repurposed industrial sewing machine stand.

I take that back, having just reviewed the situation there is facial hair but not enough to put in a bow or turn into a handle bar moustache

Haha good heavens no, that's my housemates area of expertise. There is a picture of me drinking locally produced independent cider whilst eating stupid garlic bread off of a wooden board in a small relatively undiscovered restaraunt though haha.

Replaced the pollen filter in the Panda. Much swearing.

Two wiring connectors moved aside, white one unclips upwards, black one downwards. Had forgotten, much fighting trying to move it upwards.
Steering column disconnected from rack.
Filter out after a fight.
Then found new one does not have airflow arrows. Crosland from Euro. Compared with old one, placed fluffier side towards incoming air. Seems to match old one and one from Focus from last week.

The Panda has a pollen filter?! Please tell me yours is one with Air Conditioning.

..As I was told by a motor factor mines did have a pollen filter - despite no AC - and after being unable to find it threw away a perfectly good filter since they wouldn't take it back.. :bang:

Yes, has climate control, as its based on the Eleganza. Only the aircon cars have the pollen filter. Others have the cover glued on, which has caused much gnashing of teeth on here.
