I had the same situation only last week when some one reversed into my car then drove off. The car park had no CCTV so I didn't even bother ringing the police as I knew they can't do anything without some sort of lead. I think that's why it sucks so much as there's naff all you can do but pray they die screaming 
I've yet to hear a good thing about Sky
Last time my contact was up for renewal I got the same package for £15 a month, I thought that was pretty good value.

Finger prints on a brick doesnt prove anything other than a person at some point had handled the brick. However a witness or cctv saying person x was seen putting brick through window is more substantial.

If I had CCTV Id be dealing with it myself. Better than them getting a slap on the wrist. There is no justice I this country anymore.

Because in my experience they have done nothing to majorly help me. I got assaulted, had witnesses and CCTV and they did nothing. One of my cars got robbed again had CCTV and even a suspect! But again nothing. The only thing they have done is put a traffic officer on some sort of course after he was rude to me. I know someone will say it was police that got murderer x,y,z off the street and for that I applaud them but in the instances that majorly affect me they havnt preformed. That is why I disrespect the the pig service. Respect is earned and they havnt earned it from me yet.

Just because they haven't managed to find someone, or get a strong enough case for a conviction doesn't mean that they've done nothing.
You go on about respect being earned, but if their only way of earning your respect is to get a conviction then no wonder they haven't managed to earn it yet.

Its not just about getting a conviction. The way they speak to me the way they can't even be bothered to ring back. When I had my car robbed a copper assured me they would ring or come round within a week to let me know the out come... Iv been waiting 3years for that phone call. And before anyone asks if iv changed address, yea I have, my parents how ever have not, also the house phone which they also have had since they move into that house (11years ago) hasn't been changed.
The fact that most coppers see a young lad and immediately think he's up to no good around here just cause my cars lowered and (was) in ok condition and not a corsa, that gives them the right to treat me like dog crap..anyway iv said enough about pigs can we get back onto cars or the fact I'm grumpy cause its foggy or something please. That is poor. I've never had such issues with the police, even when in my younger years, luckily.
I suppose the majority of young people around where I live are the type to argue and give what they got and drive 1.0 corsa's to the top speed of 80 everywhere... because race car, so I can sort of see why the general pig force has such a poor view of young drivers. On the other hand with equality or some crap they should view each person as an individual and not as the rest of the group.
I sort of agree with MEP we don't understand it from the coppers point of view. I got burgled, they were seen leaving my house with my tv in a sheet by an off duty policewoman who was taking driving lessons, the police were there before I knew anything about it, they knew who it was as he went in his own car, they went every they know to find them, identified him via pictures and the CPS still through the case out as not enough evidence. The police were helpful, supportive and polite, but they don't have the resources, backing or morale anymore as the criminals know all the rules and the police are fighting the system as much as we are. My brother joined the police as he wanted to save the world, the job is making him ill, the rules and paperwork mean the majority of his job is trying to achieve figures to keep the funding and not sensible crime prevention or catching repeat criminals. The majority of crime is done by a minority of criminals but you can't lock them up long term as this is against human rights and again we don't have the funding. That said the police don't like hassle so if they are rude or don't seem to be doing anything when you have proof, hassle the, ask for reasons in writing, make complaints, speak to your MP. They are there to serve you, but their hands are tied and try to imagine what there day must be like, abuse, frustration and they have to deal with bad people everyday. Things happen to us occasionally but they see it all the time, you become immune it's the only way to cope for them. Nobody joins the police to be rude and lunproductive, the job makes them that way and they get let down by colleagues and management everyday.
I am going to make the assumption that you are not meeting them with the respect they require, or there's more to this than meets the eye. Either way if you meet them with the attitude they are useless pigs, they will respond by being useless pigs... meet them with respect and politeness and I am sure they'll do the job required of them.
Even then they'll lie to you and not give a crap.

I admit my attitude does get to the point where I think there all like the rest but at the start I'm as polite as I can be. I'd expect the same from them and they shout raise there voice and generally tar me with the 'chav corsa driving' community.
