i think any pub that employs bouncers aint a proper boozer :)

Its part of our local licence agreement sadly :( Sunday - Thursday we dont have bouncers. Friday & Saturday after 6pm and on Bank Holidays we do. every single pub in the town one has a bouncer on the door. one bloke was killed earlier this year in the pub next door and its been enforced ever since...

But we dont "employ" them.. the local goverment authority "supplies" them. comes out of our buisness rent to the council.

Were in a part of town with a well known Pub crawl called "Westgate Run" 20+ pubs and nightclubs in less than 1mile. It was on an ITV documentery this year about police officers.. the same night a bloke was stabbed  made us look good :(

You dont have to deal with the horsey equine type do you? Click you fingers at me and well lets just say i will rip you off we trade horse bedding in "litres when full" rather than weight so what is 120 litres of wood chippings when full the bags take 120l volume wise

we get the blokes who click fingers, wave money in your face, shout at you, tell you how to do your job. and the people who push to the front and say theyve been waiting 30mins to be served even though you watched them walk through the doors 30secs ago :bang:

( P.S you got a chap Called Simon working there used to live with Leanne and Shane working there?)... And can you explain why my chips were over done tonight   :nerner:

There's like 800 Wetherspoons lol, what one do they work at? Dunno, probly cos they were left in the fryer too long. They're just McCains chips, ya better off making 'em at home for a fraction of the price :D

Where do you work?
I've had a woman PUT HER HAND IN MY FACE and shout "JUST LOOKING, DONT HASSLE ME OR I'LL LEAVE"

...I said hello
When I was a trainee back in the mists of time, I was always told that there are 2 reasons to try to engage in some way with an incoming "customer":
1. To make it clear that you are vaialable for advice and with a bit of luck a sale. We were taught many "open" comments that we could make, that could not just be answered with a yes or no.
2. To make the person aware that you have seen them, and from a security point of view, that is also important.
Unfortunately some people forget that in entering a shop, they are also entering a commercial enterprices, and your place of work, and in doing so, some common decencies should apply (from both sides!). However hard you try Denideth, there will be some people who are just a waste of time, but there will also be plenty of others that you can look upon as a challenge. Try to work out which approach will work best from the body language of the person. If it doesn't work, then at least you tried, and you keep the upper hand in your own mind.

My grump, the item i bought on ebay with next day delivery on the 21st December still has NOT arrived (today being the 30th December)

The seller is replying to messages within a few hours and is trying to sort it out, they say it was sent on the 21st and i should have got it a while ago. I have got alot of info from the seller on the 21st saying is had been dispatched etc
Will just have to wait and see:(

It is wrong to assume it completely makes a good salesperson, but rest assured it certainly helps.

If I'm looking at a product, and I either

a) know more about it than the person trying to get my business

or

b) get ANY sort of feeling they don't know what they are trying to sell

Then I'm 100% not interested. If I am interested, I'll buy it anyway regardless of what the salesperson says.

Which puts you n the minority. Most people buy cars from dealers because they know nothing about cars.
I've worked in a few different dealers and the best salesmen are never the ones who know most about cars. More than a couple have known bugger all about cars, yet finish top of the sales board most months.
