What's made you grumpy today?

Waking up at 5:30 this morning.. stupid body clock. Been putting up Christmas decorations all day today and I don't feel even slightly festive. :(
Putting up Christmas decorations always makes me miserable!! It's probably because I'm expected to decide where to put the decorations, only to then be told "Noo...don't like it there!"

just put my steering wheel an airbag back on, then find ive not put the rubber cover over steering wheel nut, was thinking its not important so i'll leave it off, now i am warmed up i think it is important, i think it may be there to stop airbag wires rubbing on the nut and shaft so i got to got re-do it :(

Grumpy doesn't even come close. I'm fuming!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I px'd the Punto in for my current GP, we filled in the V5 and it got sent off.

DVLA sent me a 'Last Chance' Tax warning letter - I called them and said that I'd sold it and as such it no longer belonged to me, they said 'no problem - just send us a note with the reg on and my details and the garage's details explaing that I've sold it to them and are no longer the vehicle's keeper. I did that the next day.

Today I get a letter say they're fining me £80 for not Taxing it or SORNing it!!!:bang: F***ING MORONS.

I'll be phoning them in the morning to explain that I sent them a note exactly as they asked and see what they say, no way am I paying this.

challenge but can be used in the assignment eventually

Ah ok, good job you're not only just starting something that had to go in by Thursday Ahhhh

I can code, to an extent, and I know someone else on here who can (not going to mention names, in case he doesn't want to get involved :p) - you could always start a thread and ask for help...

well..... it does have to be in thursday and we can lose marks if its not in but i been trying to do this for quite a while now amongst everything else

i think i know who you mean ;)

i would but our lecturers coded a whole game framework which we have to use to do the challenges

we basically have to hack the original framework to get it to do what we want to do, so if i were to make a thread i would have to attach the entire project and everything :(

Oh right, I get ya. We had a first year thing where we had an unfinished Java-based Pacman clone we had to finish off and then customise.

You could try asking anyway, we wouldn't be able to look at the project and give you help that directly anyway as it could could as plagiarism.

yeah my lecturer is a clever man when it comes to plagiarism and stuff

he was the lead designer for outcast 2 but unfortunately appeal went bankrupt and it got cancelled :(

a massive shame, outcast 1 was amazing

I may have damaged the car doing some top speed driving at the track:p
Topped out at 101mph :D - mk1 punto 55 s 1.1L 5 speed. top speed when new is around 96mph? Track speed systems are meant to be good, my speedo was showing abit higher but i know it reads higher than real anyway(y)

It's making a strange noise from either clutch or gearbox (n) Will have to have a look at the weekend

Did you get a letter back saying that your no longer the R/O within a week or so of sending your V5 back?

Bugger it does say on the V5 in the "instructions bit" that you should have got a letter within 4 weeks

from their website:

Once you have informed DVLA, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement letter, within four weeks, confirming the discharge of liability for your vehicle. Please allow four weeks to receive the letter before contacting the DVLA.

I had an old van that I sold then it was scraped, but I keep getting reminders about TAX, every year I've declared it SORN then written to DVLA informing them it was sold then Scrapped (back when the V5 had a section to say it's been scrapped) - now I've received a new V5 and there's no option to say it's been scrapped. I've spoken to DVLA who have informed me that I need to take the vehicle to an official vehicle recycler..... :bang:

They simply dont understand that it doesn't exist. I am tempted to report it stolen to the police, then send a letter with the police incident number to DVLA. I'll send it registered and with an invoice for the numberous other letters / time I've wasted!
