Yup its as new a one as your likely to find.
The HLX s higher spec than the ELX, only thing that would be nice is 4 electric windows, other than that there is nothing i would like over and above the ELX. Leather was an option on all models, the HLX had plush velour as standard, plusher than the velour in the ELX. A dealer would give you £500 trade in on this car and send it straight off to the auction. Get it really cheap and it would be fine, no way would I pay the asking. Plenty of cars out there although Mareas are good value for money usually put down to a combination of folk memories of rusting Fiats (ignore that they are galvanised and last 4 ever now) and being a bit too small for the sector they are in.

Oh yes.. that velour is VERY plush
I think the Marea is an excelent car. Perfect size for moving 4 adults. Obviously the Weekend has the better luggage space but if you're not always moving huge amounts of kit about then the saloon is the one to get.
I'm always impressed with the solid feel of Valeen's Marea. Ideal candidate for some 24Hr GT racing..
imo that model in that conditon is worth less than a grand unless you live in london. there's much better examples easily available. yes its an 02 with lowish milage, but for the kind of money they want it should have a documented service history, no faults or damage, and no boy racer bits!! and the timing belt should have been changed to ask for that kind of money. if you replace the stereo, manifold gasket, the back bumper and get the timing belt done, you'll be rapidly aproaching £2000 and it isnt even a good spec model. you deserve a lot more car for your money. i'd rather have an older example with more miles if it had a better spec and was in better condition.
