I was having a nose round under the punto this avo, as the handling can be a bit wayward, and the car gets easily upset by even small bumps in the road.

I thought it was probably being caused by a suspension bush, having had the same trouble with 2 of my past Alfa 155`s.

I wasnt quite expecting to find this, its drivers side front, the bottom suspension A arm:

Ive seen some bodges in my lifetime....(you'd swear I was in my 60's eh :ROFLMAO:) this is up there with some of the worst. My all time favourite is the job I once seen on a Cortina (still way before my lifetime!!) where the sills were repaired with the daily star, some filler and hand painted... And on the same car the suspension tops had an impromptu strut brace made of angle iron, not for performance but to keep the tops aligned as there was severe play when you cornered at any speed and they were rotten with rust. To top it all off the rear axle was welded to the springs with laziness. Some poor sod actually drove round in this "car"!!!!

Why not get some poly bushes? Theyre only a fiver a bush. It will drastically improve the handling (y)

Why book it in a garage, you can see how many bolts it uses, do it yourself, easier than changing the spark plugs. And cheap as chips for a new bush. Checkout eurocarparts and put your reg plate in it will come up.

yeah I suppose i should do it myself really, slight lack of time TBH, although will check with euro car parts to see.

;)

Can anyone confirm that this is the anti roll bar, just so I get the correct part.

Thanks
