General What would you rather - 124 Spider or a B?

At this price you could choose either, but if you were considering the B, you could probably afford both!

Good to know that prices are on the up and that hardtop's are £950 + VAT - I must be so out of touch...

Whoopeee - that's just like mine, except mine has a lower mileage ...

The bloke who lived opposite us in Cardiff "when I were a lad" had a 124 Spider - he used to leave it idling outside the house first thing every morning to warm it up, before setting off for work. My love for Italian cars probably started right then. The sound that car made as he gunned it down the road was just sublime. And I could get a decent one for under £8k? Where?!!

I reckon £8k is the going price for a decent US import. I had a friend who had a lovely red 1967 European spec 124 sport spider - drove in to the back of someone on New Years eve who had stopped to ask him directions at a junction - just rotted away after that as he bought an Apal speedster rep.
A good nick 124 spider just went on eBay for £3.9K whilst the same spec as this B just went for £2.2k on eBay - had a hardtop too...
