Technical Replacement dampers - Bilstein B4, KYB, Sachs or OEM?

Hi,
Thinking about replacing the 22 y/o dampers as I have a feeling bumps are going directly into the frame of the car (or was it like this new too)?
Does anyone have experience replacing the OEM dampers? Which would you recommend?
Are the OEM ones still available?

I bought B4 from Demon Tweeks. They were selling them off. All 4 shocks were £162, it was 10 years ago. No, I didn't notice any difference. The reason I changed them was one of the front shocks was beginning to leak oil. " misting" was what the mot man said.

Interesting, 10 years later it's still in stock , so I guess it wasn't discontinued
