My local tyre fitters have agreed that the Good Year Eagle F1 Assyms but also suggested Bridgestone RE050A's and ContiSport 3's. They have also recommended XL tyres given the car (150 Sport). Price between the three is less than a tennner so isnt a factor. I'm leaning toward the Good Year's given that I've had Continentals and not experienced great wear.

However, despite Fiat telling me the wear was very bad my fitter has shown me where the wear was and that the part of the tyres that should be measured still have plenty of tread left. They told me to pop back every month and they'll tell me when they need doing. Very impressed with the service and honesty.

My front tyres are on their last legs. I've got one Continental Premium Contact 2 tyre and a Continental Sport Contact 2 tyre (Second hand due to my previous tyre meeting a kerb lol) Anyone heard about the Uniroyal Rainsport 2 tyres? I'm looking for something that won't bloody wheel spin lol. I have the 120 TJet and it spins through first, second, and when it's raining, through third :LOL:

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with the tyres? ^_^

Thanks =]

Just had 2 Bridgestones taken off the front of ours, after 8k miles, mainly motorway. To put it in perspective the previous Goodyear Excellence lasted 30k. Same driver / roads etc..

Replaced with Goodyear Efficient grip, as they have discontinued the Excellence.

Reduce the weight on your right foot! I can spin the wheels in the multijet 150 through 3rd gear but if you feed the power in you wont wheel spin.

Yeah it is probably me being too heavy on the Go button lol. It's just so tempting :LOL: And the 120 has a surprising amount of torque (Although anything is more powerful than The Escort van I've been driving the past 6 months... Lol

i just bought a set of Hankook Ventus R-S2 225/45 17 tyres - another eBay bargain

these are fast road/trackday tyres

will be interesting to see how they and the Bravo perform on a trackday :cool:

Finally decided to fit these as the existing mix of barum and conti sport contact 3 were totally shot and at the wear bars

I always love the feeling you get with new tyres, a nice stiff casing and no uneven wear to track along ridges in the road

The car suddenly feels younger and any hint of wheel slip or low speed understeer has been banished (y)

Off to Brecon Beacons this weekends so an opportunity to put them to the test :devil:

Not rained yet but off to Wales tomorrow :D

These are soft compound track tyres and have a good tread pattern so I don't expect issues but you never can tell, I won't be using them in the winter, specifically for the summer

What's the wear like on the Michelins? How's the road noise too?
