Been wondering that when I've seen your posts in this thread. I always just hit the "film" icon in the tool bar above the reply window, paste the link from Youtube and it appears in the post. Dunno if you're doing something different or something else.
It could be a very blonde thing on my account i.e hitting the wrong icon.

the quo could never write anything as beautiful and complex as this for example......

what the quo do is foot tapping music you don't need to think about. nothing wrong with that but as musicians, they aren't even on the scale

I have to disagree with you about beautiful but it is subjective. They border on the hysterical for the higher notes and the tune is repetitive. But they are way better than quo

For musicality

it's called falsetto, freddie mercury has a stunning range right up into the operatic reaches. theres very little he can't/couldn't do

have to say, Under pressue is a colabaration of my 2 favourite artisits of all time.....but the song is an utter dissapointment. very little in the way of a hook to draw you into the song and neither of bowie or mercury get to really show what the are capable of at any point in it

given the caliber of those involved it ranks as one of the most dissapointing songs of all time IMO

There's falsetto and there's hysterical: Freddie didn't always manage the former. And whilst I agree neither lead got to show off their capabilities in full there's a hell of a hook in there even if it isn't immediately obvious. The bridge section sucks me in every time

agree about falsetto, but freddie never ever went into hysterical IMO, justin hawkins of the darkness was hysterical falsetto of the highest order

the hook really isnt there IMO, as someone whos been brought up on a diet of bowie and queen i know both can do so much better hence why i feel it's such a dissapointment.

it's not a bad song but like i say given whose involved it should be the best song ever, it isnt.

See IMO Freddie did go OTT. I grew up with a varied musical diet and this song just leaves me cold. However, the theatrical build up of under pressure works for me

some folk will absolutely hate this, but i kinda like it, one of those songs the more you hear it the more little things you like about it, for example the bass line complexity at certain points of the chorus dras me in

im going to see him live next month too, always puts on a good gig regardless of who is on stage with him

im on the other side of the coin tbh, i think under pressure lacks theatre

I've listened to it twice now and can't hear the complexity you refer to. If anything it's a fairly plodding base line that would work well as a pace setter. I suspect we're hearing completely different tunes.

it's very subtle note changes that arent needed to complete the tune. most of the rest is fairly plodding tbf and it is hard to hear but definitely there. im not sure how clear it is on that video tbf, it's nowehere near as clear as it is on the copy i have on my mp3 player

it isn't apparent on the video (at least not to me). Email it to me and I'll have a listen
