What should i do next???

Hi All
none of you will know me

i have a black s reg cinque sporting and so far i have installed new component speakers and 6 by 9's on the parcel shelf and also purchased 2 12 inch subs with an amp and they just about fit into the boot!!!.
only recently i have started on the engine I Have started with a k&n induction kit. my exhausts about to fall off it would seem so iwould like ur trusting advice on 2 topics:
what is the best exhaust for me?
what should i do with it next? do i continue to improve on the engine or do i go to styling???

i am looking forward to hearing your replies aS I HAVE HAD A LOOK ROUND AT SOME OF THE CARS YOU HAVE MADE AND I THINK THEY ARE PROBABLY THE BEST PICTURES OF CINQUE'S I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

YOu could go for the Supersprint backbox, they also do a full system which is supercool! I had one on my 899cc and now i've got a sporting. I sold my supersprint box to Pete (aka: FixItAgainTomorrow) and he has good words to say about it! I wish i could have one again, guaranteed for about 4-7 BHP extra.

K&N's are ok, waiting to get mine so i can't comment in that yet but they sound the Mutts Nutts! You can hear the air being sucked in and it's loud! Can't wait!

so far, thats just the budget mods u could do, or you could go for a 1242cc swap (Pete aka: FixItAgainTomorrow has done this!) or a VanAaken Turbo conversion! They're mental!

yeah i have thought about that turbo conversion but was unsure as to what would be needed to get it done and then there is that little job of insurance
buggers want all they can get out of an 18 yr old

There is a load of things you can to to a cinq to make it better!

The list of my mods so far is:

Universal cone Induction filter (attatched to airbox flex pipe from cold air intake)
Ecotek CB-26P valve
Mono-Wiper conversion with 22" blade
Fuel pump Kill-Switch
Black Diamond Front Pads
Push-Button starter switch (fitted in place of cigarette lighter)

All depends on your budget really

Lower it, springs and shocks if you can afford it or just springs if the budget's tighter. Supersprint back box is subtle, not really loud like some, and 175/50 13 tyres when you need to change what you've got, give better grip.
1242 engine is a good swap too...

Rite I have a K&N induction kit makes a very nice noise and definet improvement in the mid rev range. Also change my backbox from a Sportex 2 a Ansa and im very impressed felt instantly quicker probably bcos it dnt weigh as much and ain't blowing around clamp no more. And superchip im fitting 2morrow now as i think i know wot im doing now so ill give you my thorts once its fitted

does anyone know what wheel offset can be used on a cinq sporting?

im thinking of having some alloy wheels but not sure what size or what i need to be looking for

anyhting upto 5.5x15 will fit without arch work, offset of 30mm is ideal with a pcd of 98x4.
A cinqs just had 19's put on, but this slows the car down drastically, fitting 15's add a second on to hit 60mph, 19's add a lifetime.
Best off having 5.5x14 with 195/45 tyres on a cinq.

Home made. Went to a scrappy and got the linkages from a jaguar (single wipe model). Took some butchering but it wipes about 90% of the screen with a 22" blade [8D]

hehe nice brickfoot tryed 2 get a 3inch sportex off me m8's cinq 2day so old tits just rusted on so he'll b off down the exhust centre to get it off and fit my old sportex boxster [8D]

5.5x15 will only fit without arch work if you dont intend to lower it.. i had my cinq lowered 30mm and needed the rear arches rolled to fit the 15s. 6x14s will go straight on though. Arch work for fitting 15s (2 rears) can cost between 50 and 100 quid depending where you go.

Sod the engine and bodywork. Keep the ICE going! Get rid of the 6x9's. Spend some £ on some custom door build's or some kick pod's and get some Focal or Crystal components in there. Have them running active from a pure amp like a crystal 4 channel amp. Get a class D amp running a single 12" sub. Have it all installed in fibreglass

I'd much rather have a big ICE install rather than a nice bodykit or wheels. This way when you sell the car you can take most of the ICE out and re-use and not lose much money

Almost everyone on this forum will probably disagree but it's good to be different!
