Styling what mods should i do to my car?

i only realised when i layed my new wheels on top of my old ones and they were the same.

I never thought about it either lol

I think the sporting alloys would look quite tidy on there, plus they'd be cheaper on insurance as they're genuine fiat.

Black roof would also look nice and only cost £30 or so if your vinyl skills are up to the job.

(Btw this has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that they're my alloys that you're bidding on

)

try telling bell, my insurance that ^.

Trust me its not always the case lol :(

Each insurance company is different and each insurance policy is different.

When I got winter tyres, I wanted to go with the 15 inch ones the Owner's manual says to use. However, my insurance company said that due to the policy I had, I could only use winter tyres that were the same size as the ones my car came with (16 inch). They did say that if I had their other policy, then I'd have to use the size in the owner's manual. That is so I don't have to pay any extras for "modding" the car.

With my insurance company (either policy) OEM "mods" are less expensive than using other brands. In other words, if I want to change rims, it's cheaper to use Fiat rims than if I used some brand off the internet. Also mods that need mods cost more; ie needing wobble bolts for wrong sized rims or hub centric rings.

How hard is it to vinyl a roof?

Having a go next weekend...but I imagine it will be more :bang:Ahhhh:shrug::doh: than :woot::woot::woot::woot:

Will let you know!

If you could. its one of my future plans. If it goes well you should make a guide on here.

Im definately considering it. just smarten the car up a bit.

Vinyl looks to be around £30 or so, trying to get a couple of companies to give me a quote on how much they'd charge so I know where I stand. They do look good, especially on the silver cars. ;)

If you find some one cheap. Let us know. im not far from you maye. :)

Hmm yeah probably. I'll just have to wait till I'm home and I'll give it a measure. Then when I find the cheapest price on ebay for the correct amount I'll post the link on here so you guys can get hold of it too :)

How hard did you find vinyling behind your number plate aswell mate ?

It was relatively easy. I measured from the bottom of the top grill as thats the widest point, cut that length out of the vinyl. obviously took the plate off. Started sticking the vinyl, going under where the top grill fits to make sure it completely covers the paint when the grill is back on. stuck it completely down and trimmed off the excess at the bottom, leaving enough to tuck underneath at the top of the bottom grill. then i used a knife to cut the edges to match the edges of the top and bottom grill. (y) simple. just have to apply the vinyl bit by bit and use a heat gun (on low heat) to wrap the edges round and get creases out.

didn't mean to thank just wondered what the smiley face did :yum:

In my experience carbon vinyl is a bit easier to apply/avoid bubbles and creases as it's a bit thicker and textured. I recommend carbon wrapping the roof instead of matt black - hopefully this will fit...although I reckon the roof is wider than 1m at the top of the windscreen...

I might pick up a debadged grill first ? What you reckon ?
