Hello New to your very informative forum will probably visit alot just for the info rather than with probs I hope.
I have just aquired a 2000 (w) Punto 1.2 8v ELX, Lovely little car, nippy, only needs fuel once a month, and its only done 20k. Wife loves it as she is learning to drive. Apart from an uneven idle the car is fine. I did not get a user manual with the car so I do not know how to work the trip computer properly and I do not know what number it is. I see people on about a 55, 60,etc so what is mine.

55, 60 is for mk1 only, this is a mk2

it referred to engines and bhp output as well as trim levels. 55 tend to the base model

The mk2 1.2 8v is a 60, referring to it having 60bhp. I thought my w-reg mk2 was low mileage at 45k!

Thank you , this car was a cat d write off when 6 months old and stayed off the road for a year, then it semms to have done hardly any miles with the last two owners acording to the mot certs. Just paid 800 for it. It feels like brand new. Had a volvo tank before that and it was nice but expenive to run.
