In which case he should be using a diesel engine rather than a hydrid ;)

I am not arguing that a car powered by an electrical motor isn't classed as a propelled vehicle, I am arguing that an electrical motor isn't an engine...

paul, i wouldnt disagree with Alan, as he is a copper (you dont want all the coppers in your area stopping you, do you :D)

OK to clarify I suppose that an electric motor is a motor possibly not an engine? However.....a mechanically propelled vehicle will have some form of propulsion unit be it a motor, engine or whatever as long as it's mechanical.

There is nothing to state how many propulsion units can be in one mechanically propelled vehicle.

Is that better.

Yes, never been stopped by a policeman, I like trying new things :)

The road traffic act (according to Alan) states a vehicle propelled by battery, LPG etc. etc. falls within its remit.

However, it doesn't state (from what Alan has said) that a second electrical motor can be classed as an engine (which by definition it is not!).

Hence this and the fact that hybrids exist doesn't mean that twin engine cars are legal in any way whatsoever.

Yes, but now since scrappy races stated such a law existed in one form or other, we stilll need to find out why they said it and whether it was over simplified.

cof cof, sorry to bring back this topic:eek:

I do have one question though, can anyone tell me the purpose of a 200hp Panda?

I had to hide my signature here before some people start to ask funny questions:p

For those that remember who i am, it's almost ready(y)

I still visit from time to time but all the nonsense topics kind of put me off this forum (leisure louge is annoying(n) )

When i first signed up...almost two years ago it had no options, don't know if you're aware but we've gone through a few software versions already:p

When i joined we were still using freePHB or something like that:rolleyes:

I'm going to try and stick around even if it's just in the classic panda section.

For those that remember the 1242 8V is on hold while i prep my Thema 16V turbo into the 500 range(y) (i only need to break it in and raise the boost) then i'll try to get a chassis and finally get the 1242 what it really deserves (i'll update the site and make a topic on the current specs)

For those that don't know me a piece of advice....never listen to anything i say or look at what i do, especially my site since it WILL be addictive:D
