Its a bent bit of metal.

Boorock on here had something like that, he gained BHP by removing them :)

think i might have a go at making some random piece of crap that dose nothing then put it on ebay and claim it give you 100bhp, then see how many chavs put them on there novas

pull the knobs off your cooker, stick two wires on, and tell folk its an electric turbo. get them to cut it into their ecu :D

Save the foil cases of your mince pies.

Cut the bottom with a craft knife from the centre out to the edge five times, thereby giving you 5 "petals", fold/twist the resultant "petals" tips to 45 degrees into a rough approximation of a vortex generating device.

Place on Ebay for £25 with the following description:

"Using computer simulations and dynamometer tests the scientists at Shell research have found that the placing of a vortex generator down stream of the air intake has been proven to INCREASE POWER by upto 15% on N/A engines and 35% on turbo charged engines as well as increasing FUEL ECONOMY by upto 5mpg." "It has also been found to increase kn*b girth and length by 1 inch"

Sit back, rake in HUGE amount of money from Saxo drivers etc, Retire before 2010.

and for some of us who have degrees in aeronautical engineering and have worked on aerodynamics and fluid mechanics the conclusion is b*llox!

vortex my ass, its RESTRICTING the flow of air.
theres a similar device out there that goes inside your exhaust, again, its garbage and just creates a bottleneck in the cars breathing cycle
