Hi.
Well I got some 3mm self adhesive matting and have covered my home made shut panel for the nearside football, also have done inside the glove box and the back of the rear seat, done some other bits beside the pedals that are just bare metal of the body. To me just makes it more pleasant.

Neat work - specially the shut-panel. The rear seats are always the victim of scratches. Where'd you get this carpet stuff?

Also..........any thoughts on covering the dashboard top, which, as a few have reported is a pig for reflections when it's (rarely) sunny?

Hi.
Went down to Prestwick to get a service kit for my daughters MG3, the air filter looks similar to the Panda one, it was a shocking £24 plus VAT, oil filter just over £6:50 so not too bad.
Nice sunny day and the Panda was rocking with good music from my phone :spin::D

Washed wifey's 2013 November reg pandy today, horrors, found rust on the leading edge of the drivers door, looking at the log book their is no dealer stamp for bodywork inspection hope that doesn't cause problems with the warranty!

Have you kept all the visit 'receipts' servicing and otherwise?

Yes, all servicing stamps are present and correct, bought the car from Arnold Clark, but am booking in to the local Fiat dealer for replacement rear discs,
Assume the main dealer will take care of warranty work.

Yes, but it's the wriggle room built into the small print that concerns me + it's Fiat we're dealing with here.

True.

Just remember, it's their legal duty to provide a full technical evaluation and write up to explain why it's YOUR fault.

If they refuse to, or say that they can't do that then it's legally assumed as their responsibility I'm sure as they are considered the ones who should have enough knowledge and experience to do so.

And to be honest , if it's only a 4 year old car and it's rusting there's really not much you could have done to actually cause it :-/

So I hope you disputed it and they sort it out for you. That'd be my nightmare on a new car! My Panda is 12 years old and only just getting rust in the inner workings

Keep us updated?

Will do...

On a different note regarding parts not classified as body related. EG, discs, they will rust as they are basically bare metal and salted roads and sea air will speed the process up, plus they are service items anyway.
Fiat DID NOT replace mine as they said they were still within Fiat's spec even though they were scored and really rusted.
In fact they were 0.01mm above the spec and no good will was even shown to a new customer, grrrrrr!!

Any pictures? Has there been any bumps and repairs done by a non approved bodyshop?

The Mini-Beast is having a rest today after a 220 mile trip back from Wales. It seems to have rained for 24 hours solid. If I can manage to wade to the car without getting drowned I can give it the once over before our next long trip.

Tried this morning, can't get a useable picture, the paintwork is bubbling up an area about 100mm x 8mm along the door edge where it meets the wing.

Strangely enough, as I typed this Fiat UK called to arrange an inspection by the dealer... I emailed them yesterday...
