My marea 1.6elx seems to have a problem. Not really sure what caused it but everytime after driven her for more than half hour, I could not get the engine to start back. I usually have to wait for 1 1/2 hour or more after it cooled down to get it started. The temp never went more that the half mark. usually it stay just below it. air cond works fine.

firstly check the temperature sensor, thats the most common cause of this problem (even if the gauge appears to work ok). also, you need to check the connections on the battery, make them clean and shiney before applying grease. then check the earth strap. then starter motor wiring connections. a rusty connection has a greater resistance when warm, and even higher when hot. this causes starting problems. if the battery keeps charging ok you can assume the alternator wiring is ok.

if all this fails try checking the lambda sensor, it only has an effect when warmed up so it could be inaccurately adjusting the fueling on warm start.
