as above really i know about the 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 its the bigger ones i don't understand. Like the HGT and abarth.

yeah seen that and thats how i learned about the smaller engines. I just confused cuz of the two different 2 litre models (whats the point?) and whats the abarth ive heard it has a turbo? sorry if everyone has been through this a million times! im at work with nothing better to do :)

OK. The HGT 147 was the original model then when the MK2 Bravs came out the engine had been tweaked up to 155 for both the HGT and the FIAT Coupe.

As for Bravo Abarth, there's is no such model simply and Abarth bodykit that was available at extra cost from new. Abarth really means nothing anymore but used to be a styling / tuning arm linked to FIAT, much in the saem way that Ghia and Cosworth are / were related to Ford. For old FIATs, the Abarth name meant that it was the sporting version that had been tweaked by Abarth. Now it means it's the standard version that you want to buy with a few bits of plastic stuck on.

All HGT's have genuine abarth skirts from the factory and a different front bumper. No where onthe guide does it say there is an 'Abarth' model. There has never been a turbo bravo made by fiat, you can get a Marea turbo in Brazil (Coupe engine). The number represent the BHP, and in Mk2 they badged them like that. HGT=155 20v = 155BHP and twenty little bouncy things...

Er, no. Wrong. All HGT's have their own unique skirts fitted as standard but they were never Abarth skirts. The Abarth skirts that FIAT sell for the Bravo do not fit the HGT as they are physically too short, although, saying that, one or two people have successfully modified them to fit.

The front bumper is indeed unique the the HGT also, simply because the front wings are wider on the HGT, but still not an Abarth product.

HGT with factory fitted skirts...
