what 2 upgrade first? ice

i need advice on ice 4 my car,as i now feel it is time for changing the sound system in my bravo. Every thing is bog standard fiat, head unit, speakers,cd changer. i was wondering what u guys would be the best to upgrade first and which will give the most noticable improvment.money is a bit scarce atm,so i cant do what i want and do it all in one big hit.
i have the standard multi play in the boot aswell,and i f i was to change my head unit forst,would i still be able to get the cd player in the back to work?i know it is wishfull thinking but heh! u never know ;P

Your Head Unit. If you tell your ICE shop the make and model of your changer i'm sure tehy'll be able to tellyou if an adapter is availble so it can be used with aftermarket HU's and which ones

1) New head unit (you wont be able to reuse the Cd changer though)
2) new front speakers
3) amp & sub
4) amp front speakers

Things that are NOT worth doing:
6x9's
rear speakers

cheers si,i push came to the shove though i could bear it and lose the cd changer.what is the best recomandation for a head unit for under £200.
i listen to a lot music,but i has got to have a good bass line ie nething from d&b to r&b to reggae.

ne sugestions?

would certain head units suit me beeter than others?

I just bought a new MP3, WMA compatable HU and i am chuffed to hell with it, alos got 2 amps sat in the shed awaiting a sub and some componants,

Try www.justkenwood.co.uk if you go for a kenwood cd player, i have found them quite cheap. I have got the Kenwood KDC 7024 and I am very pleased with it, when I bought it the prices from other companies ranged up to £300 whereas I paid £220 from just kenwood, got it next day with a years free theft insurance and a two year warranty, don't know if they do that any more like.

Also the way it flips is very cool and it is compatible with the fiat bravo headunit adapter whereas some of the sony flip ones etc won't be compatible. Try autoaudioaccessories.co.uk for the head unit surround, there better than normal ones.

Do you want just a CD head unit or MP3 as well?

JVC are very good for sound, not quite as fancy as some of the others.

there is so much to chose from

as a newbie on ice, alot of stuff means jibberish to me

is more pre outs better?
seem to vary ,average 1 to 3.

do u all think that makes dont matter, or do u all prefer certain makes?
a friend of mine swears by blaupunkt,etc.what do ya reckon.personal preferance or do certain makes of HU give distinguisable sound differance,? or am i just dribbling crap now?

1 pre out is the minimum really.

Some makes do sound better. JVC, Blaupunkt, Alpine, the more expensive Pioneers tend to sound better, Sony, alot of Kenwoods, and the budget brands will not sound as good.

Speakers is a whole different kettle of fish! you can spend hundreds on Rainbows or JL or RE or you could spend not alot on Magnat, Mac Audio etc...
