Weird Panda SUV

I don’t believe it’s actually any sort of fiat but was Italian built in the 80s/90s
Looks like a panda but built like a luxury car with leather clad dash

What do you think? Anyone know the story !

Twin exhausts and 6 stud wheels almost certainly point to a 1/2 ton American pickup chassis, probably Chevrolet. I have a dim recollection of seeing this contraption in a motoring magazine way back when.... I think it might have been something to do with Fissore.

I was more inclined to think something like an Isuzu? There where quite a few jap cars creeping into European 4x4s in the 80s and 90s

What’s weird is it’s not a small car, it’s pretty large so those parts look like fiat parts but they seem to have made bigger versions of them that look the same. It’s like someone decided to upscale a panda or uno this isn’t even a fiat, it was Italian made, but now I can’t find the article/post that the pictures came from
