So title says all.
My 500X, 2015, has been getting less and less water delivered to the bonnet jets. Pump is fine delivering 10 PSI (measured at pump). Jets, and hoses from splitter to jets are fine.
The problem lies in the tube from the pump to the splitter.
All the support tie wraps have crushed/squeezed the hose. The hose rubber has clearly softened / collapsed over time due to overly tight tie wrap supports.
No technical reason for these to be so tight. Also the crushes are not obvious till you actually cut the tie wraps and unravel the felt binding.
Diagnosing takes time but fixing is easy and quick. This knowledge may help/reduce customer costs.
The hose from the water bottle pump can be accessed via the N/S light access panel in the front of the wheel arch liner. From there the hose clips/tie wrapped to the flange below the main fuse box then goes into the inner wing area, clip/tie wrapped twice and then to the channel in the N/S bonnet opening arm.
The tie wraps have to be cut. You can replace the hose or do what I did and massage the crunch hose areas and then test. All fine.
I suspect all older 500Xs will suffer this problem.
