we have a problem

hmmmm well i did a reinstll.
still problems.
getting usb errors where windows tells me i only have usb 1.1 whereas they should all be usb 2.
when i got home today i couldnt 'wake' the pc.
it was running but wouldt activate the TFT(DVI)
after a reboot i had problems of the screen going black and artifacts on screen.
graphics card was quite warm with nothing really runnig.
(radeon 9800)
so graphics card prob?mobo?

left it off too cool and its running stable (for now)

Do your mobo have onboard graphics?

You really need to try pulling bits off and watching the system.

looked at using the onborad graphics but the VGA port seems to be male whereas on the graphics card its female.
this normal?
thinking it has to be on the mobo as it still wont boot without a ps2 connected keyboard and USB2 is now non existant according to windows and the hours its taking to fill my ipod
pc is slower to boot as well.
dont know if its connected but i cant install the ATI catalyst drivers as it reports i dont have .NET installed yet i do

Sometimes you get wee adaptors with decent cards ala male/female and vga/dvi stuff.

Have you returned the stand in hard disk to the way your other was since reinstalling i.e. have you installed all your software and files etc?

What mobo you got exactly?

ive done a fresh install on what was my slave drive.
havent installed much bar office,browser and drivers.
its an ASUS A7N8X 2.0 BOARD
i think the athlon xp chips are socket A(am i right?)
