Technical water temperature switch

My 2.8 JTD 2003 is oozing coolant from behind the big hexagonal brass nut on the water temp sensor controlling the fans. This is situated at the bottom left corner of the Radiator if you were underneath looking forward.
I think its a 29mm. nut and, as it has the sensor attached it would need a deep socket to remove it. Access is difficult. Because it screws into the plastic body of the rad., I'm wary of just trying to tighten it in case it strips the plastic. I'd rather remove it, drop the coolant, and re- insert it with some PTFE tape on the thread, or similar joint paste.
Anyone know for sure if its a 29mm. nut?

OK. So no one seems to know. I've seen a link on this site which shows an exploded diagram showing this brass nut, but I can't seem to find it again. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
