General was running smooth now its tapping after failing to start

hi, my bravo 1.4, 1998 is making a knocking tapping noise directly under the rocker cover after it not starting at first, i went through various things pump, throttle,fuses,relays,etc .... and i took the crank sensor out cleaned it and put it back(with thanks to RALLYCINQ . now ican start the car but i get the knocking/tapping noise. the car had been running fine before it wouldnt start (Ino knocking or tapping).
i did get an oil change about 4 weeks ago is it poss somthing is suspect there (wrong oil ?)

Use a screwdriver as a stethescope and identify where its coming from.

Note:- pointy end down.

Edit:- I see from your other post its from the rocker area. I presume the oil pressure light is going off.

update: car now wont start again, no sounds of knocking or tapping when turningthe engine over. I am now back to my original non starter problem.

oh yes the oil light goes out
