Technical warning lights

hi hav just developed a new problem with my car, when I turn off the ignition a get a number of warning lights that either come on or stay on random ones but mostly handbrake, over temp and oil!
Any ideas?

Sounds like the common but un common bsi /dash crashing on shutdown

Disconnect the battery leave it an hour or 2 and see if this cures the problem

Old mk2 had spate of temperature guage sitting in middle and oil light staying on
but cured itself after a week

assuming you havent been messing with anything
try disconnecting the negative battery lead for 10 minutes to see if the bsi resets itself
if you have the original fiat radio it shouldnt need the code but if it does we can supply it for a couple of nicker on here
you dont say year model etc but there is a possibility that bsi has got water ingress whicjh as mrt would say is bard

thanks disconnecting battery seems to have sorted it, we'll see over the next few days

Why is it only people in the Punto section who don't refer to it as the Body Computer like everyone else does, and knows this particular ECU as

its uncommon but its come on here from time to time

its not common like misfire issues
but not uncommon

its hard to explain

and bsi is the bloody sodding interface (aka computer)
