Warning light on dashboard loss of power

Warning light on the next to the oil and the battery indicators has come on (105 jtd)after hard bumps.Am I right to think that it is the ht's etc.It's a bit of an emergency as I am trying to get to scotland soon but have to abandon the trip for the moment. I would really apprectiate any feedback???

sounds like the battery leads. Check and tighten. Also check earth-body-engine

Brilliant! I'll check them out It's seems to be behaving itself today and I have a seeking suspicion that it could be dirt in the tank as I have run the fuel gauge down quite low a few times since I bought her recently?? I don't know if this is a huge problem with them? Diesel and that? Anyway ,anonymous, I'll take a chance and once more into the breach as one man said, I guess the trip is back on and a million thanks for your help, combustion engines, perfection, jesus I'll drive me self bananas!!!!
