Hi guys, Newbie here, hope someone can help! I have a Fiat Bravo 1.4S and i am looking to update the radio so it is compatable with a cd changer. The radio thats in is AD182L and i think i need the AD182H. Then there is the changer, I have a Sony 10 Cd changer CDX616 but not sure if this will be any good and then there is the wiring, there is none in the boot so how do i go about starting. Am looking on Ebay for radios at the moment and the Grundig cd changers there are lots of different ones so not sure what to buy, any help would be appreciated. Thanx

Hi Nicola,

Okay the ADH182L radio you have isn't compatible which you already know.

Below is the AD182H it was made for all MK1 cars with CD Changer compatibility, but is really not as good as the later radios made after 1999 which include more features.

The best Fiat Stereo to get is the AD182H2, it has lots of extra features and you'll be happy with it.

They also made this model of stereo without the cover flap for the radio, which is alittle better as the flap on some of these can break.

Always remember that these radios are coded so always get the code card with them or do not bid. As they may be locked upon purchase.

The radios on ebay go for as little as £30. So you'll get a bargain.

Regarding your Sony CD Changer. The Fiat CD Compatible Stereos are made to deal with 6CD Auto Changers, and will let you skip with ease. On a 10CD Changer you can skip on the 1st 6CD's but for the next four you can't you need to skip tracks to get to the next cd etc.

However on my stereo the 2nd (2nd one down) but with no flap on it, i don't have numbers to skip CD's, i just have two buttons, up a CD or down a CD. So with that in mind i reckon it'll be ok but don't hold me to that. But i can't see why not.

OK, now if you decided to fit a cd changer it either requires to be Original Equipment Grundig 6Disc Changer or the Sony T69 6Disc Changer. Grundig being the more expensive at £169.

The sony one you can get for £149 Delivered to your door. It looks expensive but because your fitting a Sony CD Changer to a Grundig Fiat Radio it requires a Connect2 adapter, cheapest are £50. So the CD Changer in actual fact is £99 or less if you don't include postage.

Anyway either way your gonna need the Connect2 adapter to connect your 10disc changer or the Sony T69 6Disc one.

Also Fiat will remove your current Radio for free if you ask them nicely.

Fitting the changer isn't easy if your not a hands on person but i managed to do it twice with ease.

If you need any help just ask.

There's a Sony changer with adapter, on eBay, buy it now for £139.99

GO MP3

dont bother with a multichanger just get a new head unit that does mp3!

Re: GO MP3

Got a radio with cd changer compatability would swop for your old one for when i sell my car.Its got 6 cd changer buttons but you'll have to skip the last 4 through the tracks dont know when the post will arrive cpu bust....

Ive got the code, (I think)

Hi guy's, I have received the radio and there is a code card with it, Electronic code has 5 no's and the mechanical code has a letter and then 4 no's, i got the AD181H2 model, does anyone know how to activate the code as it is different in my owner manual? Is it the same that's in the guide on the audio section?

Ere that radio in that pic is the one I bought off ebay last week :)

What did your code look like? Cos the one ive got looks like it is the main code card for a car

My card (which is the very one in that second pic up there) does only have 4 digits set out on the back as:

Model Type: AD 182 H2
Serial No: moreblah
Code No: ****

Looks like they have sent me the wrong card,Gutted, the one i have says fiat code card and as i said has 2 different codes with it, looks like the radio is no good, as not sure what to do not, I have mailed them but they haven't replied as yet. any suggestions

Try Fiat but i'm sure they will need a chassis number of the car it came off.

Or use a decode specialist shop, cost approx £10.

Or get a £10 refund off the Ebayer and use it towards the decode. He's sold the item with no code when he said it does.

Wouldn't worry.

Just wait for them to reply back.
