Just take off the badges gently, then remove any remaining residue with hot, soapy water, then give a good polish, no marks whatsoever, I did this on my wing badges and my paintwork is black.

Warm the badges with hairdryer. Then you can get them off easily. I used a little plastic "spatula" you get with Araldit-packages. It's perfect for the job. Just don't use any hard tools. Plastic and wood are ok. Nothing metallic.
I removed the "Fiat", "Stilo" and "16v" badges from the rear end, and installed the Merkur-grille.
I did the same as Proc, but used a plastic spatula from the kitchen (don't tell the missus ).
There were a few bits of stubborn glue/sponge, so I used White Spirit and elbow grease on them.
