ok ive just thought of this...not a bad idea i think lol

sometimes when people have problems and are seeking advice...they write it out but is sometimes hard to explain.

lots of people have camera phones etc so how about a option to upload video clips. this way people can have a better view of problem.

e.g. a car makes a funny noise. its hard to explain writing it out like "it makes a burble". (well thats not very clear). so we can upload videos taken by us of example the car making that noise so people can have a better understanding on what the problem could me actualy seeing and hearing it instead of relying on peoples explanations haha. (hope that made all any sence) good idea in my mind.

Exactly, allowable image types are:

jpg,jpeg,png,gif,mpeg,mpg,avi,asf,wmv,mov,swf,3gp,mp4

and if all else fails just upload to another site ie youtube and post the link, sorry if it isnt allowed

Thats because unlike Youtube, they aren't streamed - they need to download completely first.

Saying that though - I updated the software again yesterday, so they might have sorted that

Just tested - with Firefox and Quicktime they do now stream

ben cant you just abuse youtube and use a diffrent site

Can we imbed streaming video on the forum or does server not allow and would that mean that we would have to insert flash codes.

thats gonna bring up the whole external hosting issue again.

Thats why i am asking if we know enough about computers to insert the videos on the site. It would mean that somebody would have to write them in and does the server of the forum allow streaming. We have been having a problem ATM about streaming times at HQ but i have a solution but its in my collegues head not mine LOL.

videos can be uploaded to the gallerys so shouldnt be an issue i would have thought
however i know nothing
