Headlights cannot be removed with the bumper in place. However. it's well worth removing the front bumper anyway. (Wisdom would do the back as well
).
On the front, there are two bolts under each front wing that are a bit awkward to reach but more importantly they eventually rust making removal into a big issue. At least get them out and treated with copper paste. Even better get the bumper off and do the same with any of the now more accessible fasteners.
Ideally avoid replacing with stainless into mild steel as it causes the surrounding steel to rust even faster. If you must use stainless make sure the threads are treated from top to bottom with antiseize paste as it helps to avoid them reacting against the steel.
The headlight wiring connector has a sliding clip, but its hard to see how it works. Ease that clip sideways and the connector will just pull off.
