The cars been suffering from a rubbing, rumbling noise whilst going round island or gradual corners at speed. It only started after having the rear gearbox mount replaced. Checked for cv joint wear, bearings etc and all looks fine. I have noticed that the bolt that secures the mount bracket to the gearbox has been hitting the subframe so could this be it as the engine moves to the side making this hit the subframe? I wedged a piece of wood between the bolt and and frame and noticed the same symptoms but as soon as car started. Help guys its bugging me. Oh i checked the exhaust for rubbing and thats fine.

Fit as shorter bolt, but to be honest the garage that did the gearbox mount should sort it FOC.

Also check the exhaust mounts are not knocking as the system might have been disturbed.

i think it was the original bolt but because its had a new mount it must have moved the bolt a little nearer the subframe enough to cause vibration through the car
