My daughter has a 2012 panda and they came without roof bars. She prefers it that way, probably because she really wanted a 500. I steered her towards the panda as it's the perfect learner car and tough enough for someone starting off driving. It's not style over substance, in my view.

The cross over roof bars will be noisy at speed and do affect mpg. Don't leave them on all the time, as rust on the clamps could develop and cause who-knows-what problems.
