In this months Practical Performance Car there is a Seicento with a 2l Vauxhall engine in it.

Took a pic of the page (Camera phone so quality not great)

Looks quite a tidy conversion, according to the text the engine had to be built up insitu as it was not possible to drop it in ,in one piece.

Quite impressive and I would not have thought it possible previously to drop this engine in.

I spoke to cov69 about the feature. I think he sent them an e-mail saying the car is now fubar.

The question is, will thd new owner of the remains going to rebuild or just sell as parts. He was supposed to be but cov hasn't heard anything off the guy.

Thanks

I didn't read that other thread but I am amazed that car was crashed and no one died!

It looked like a fooking death trap!

Having read the other thread from start to finish while it was being built, and the thread with the accident, that car stood up pretty well in the accident if I remember, mainly cosmetic like bumper, bonnet and wing? if I remember correctly, there might have been damage to the inner wing but I would think a standard Sei would have stood up the same if worse in the accident.

Cov69, the original builder did a very good job, from what I could see of re-enforcing the body and keeping as much of the standard body shell as he could, so it was as strong as a standard shell I would say.

Cheers!

The car came off a lot better than a standard seicento would have done in an accident if the official crash test video is anything to go by.

Can i also make clear, the car was fully insured thrugh sky insurance, all mods declared when i owned it, it was the new owner who wasnt...

Cheers all.
