General Vauxhall combo high emmisions

Hello all, took my 65 reg combo with 45000 miles on clock to test and it failed on emmisions. I only do short journeys in it so migjt be the problem.

























































































Took my 65 reg combo for test and it failed on high emmisions. It has only done 45000 miles. I tried canclear but readings still high. Any ideas how i can get the emmisions lower. It had a service at 40000miles.

Emissions.. a complex thing on an engine

So..the basics

Its low miles and regularly serviced

Do you see ANY warnings?

Does the DPF regen as you would expect..
Did the servicing garage tell your what the Degradation counters were before and after the service ?


Did you give it a HOT drive on the way to the MOT station... ?
that should help for everything (except contaminated oil..)

I put another bottle of canclear and took it for retest. Done as instructions said and also gave it a hot drive to the test, about 20 miles. He said it just made it on third attempt.
That is very interesting about the DPF regen as i dont think i have ever heard it do a regen. If i am honest, i did not know that they did a regen.

What is it designed to do ??

I bought it from euro car parts. I said a need a system cleaner for diesel van as failed on high emmisions. They recommended a bottle of camclear. Probably just their product they sell.
I dont think it helped very much.
