fingers, maybe a bent screwdriver or long nose pliers

you need valve spring compresser first though, are you doing them with or without removing head

The proper tool to use is a valve spring compressor, then remove the collet, withdraw valve, and then replace seal, you will probably need a long nose pair of pliers to remove the old seals with. Be careful pushing in the new seals.

cheers im taking the head off, got a patched up gasket on it which is working a treat but wont tempt fate so getting a set thanks for the help
