i know this has been done ... but cant find any info anymore.. any ho has some.. the engine is a 2.5V6 maby the 2 GT25turboes will be fitted.

but some info would be nice.
 
oh its a 2,5 alfa from a 155.. so i would take the entire thing from the 155.. shocks, springs, breaks ... well everything and a manifold from a 2,0 v6 turbo and maby some spasso gaskets ;-)
 
Yes, though personally i would of kept the 155. you basically want to uprate as much as you can. is it a later widebody version with quick rack steering?:yum: though that requires more work i think.

i hope this 155 is a donor car for a reason!!

what model tipo you putting it into?
 
hmmmm i've read that the twinspark 16v ones can keep up to about 100mph but the V6 just keeps going apparently leaving them behind. hmmmm according to this the Q4 is actually 20kgs heavier though i spose it has the diffs. i'm sure the Alfa V6 is pretty light:confused: it's all alloy as opposed to the Fiat derived twinspark 16v engines with the cast iron bottoms. hmmmm
 
well we havnt gotten the car yet.. only the alfa 155 v6...
but we were counting on finding a tipo 2,0 8v with broken engine or something.
The point was to have a V6 engine in a tipo! so forget about the 4cyl. engines.
 
well im taking all of the 155.. jo i just have to bolt it on the chassi of the tipo.

just found out that the 2,0v6 turbo only has one turbo.. so maby the manifolds from that one modded to take a normal turbo like a GT28 or something.

well no need for different driveshafts cause whatever isue with the wheel arces clerence, will be delt with by simply modding them! the standard V6 gearbox is the plan at the moment!
 
V6 Tipo sounds like a cool idea, untill you need to work on the engine!

Does anyone know for sure the weight difference between a Sedici engine and say an alfa 2.5 V6? it may not be a lot.
 
hehe yah even changing a plug could take half a day :-( but it will not be my normal drive!

155 16V TS 1400kg
155 V6 2,5 1370kg

tipo `93 2,0 16V 1190kg
tipo 1,6 8v 1050kg

so 7sek in the 155 v6.. the tipo with about 200kg less nice .. and some turbo from the 2,0 V6 turbo

wow man if ure rebuild is as dramatic as ure vid i better watch my self in my SC HGT bravo, good luck with the build anyways hope it goes to plan as my projoect seems to be hitting some right bumps lol
 
Interesting project, was kind of hoping to see a Tipo smoking some tyres....why only a 2.5, why not 250bhp GTA engine if your going to put that waking great lump in there?


because we got the 155 alfa cheap ... what kind of !!"#¤¤ removes a GTA engine from its perfekt home ;-) well when that beeing said.. it could be a lot of fun!

when i have got i working ill maby find turbo manifolds form the 2,0 V6 and mount a turbo!

its not only the engine its:
ABS break box + all sensors
tank
wiring(most of it) to the engine
front brige(with shockobsorbers breaks gear links(wires)
shocks breaks entire rear asembly!

btw the shocks are ajustable koni.

is there any tipo with wires to gearleaver insted of pips`?
