My Punto 1.9JTD 86bhp, I had a new crankcase pulley back in May 2020 after the vibration absorber rubber split the pulley wheel coming off!

I did purchase TVD for £55.59, round 40,000 miles later it has shedder! And the metal wires has rubbed my cam belt which it needs new has well.

Does anyone know what is the cause of this?

I got all the parts and start to do the cam belt timing, found the injector pump gear wheel hasn't got the mark line, but a blue pen is marked on it, is this have to be accurate timing on injector???

Err..

Old mechanical injection had a 'timed' pump

Common rail is electrically controlled

So you just spin the pump to get pressure..
Same as the coolant pump :)
