Come on, you're better than that, I can think of plenty of places worse to live then the UK. Just be happy you live in a place that is so good that people want to come and live here.

Well it's sure not the weather lol. Money is nearly always the motivating factor unless you live on a sunny tropical island where everything is free, or you're running from something...

Problem is some come to earn more money honestly and others dishonestly. Where I live you can't do any skilled jobs unless you've lived here a minimum of five years (unless you employer gets a liscence and your skills are essential). We don't have a very generous benefit system either (no doll) but people get around it by coming here pregnant or having children here. Then their child is considered a local, once again a system failure. However we have minimal issues compared to the UK, but we still have them and it's not primarily the Polish that are the problem here.

Anyhow I don't think there is an easy solution in this day and age of political correctness.

Maybe we should go back to historical times and try and defend our countries with swords and horses rather than importing cheap products and eating horses. We doomed, doomed lol.

I can think of a few places better too unfortunately the country top on my list requires me to learn a new language . I'm not particularly bothered about how the UK is now but it's where it's going I don't like and I don't particularly want to be a part of it.

And they don't come here because it's 'good'. They come here because we are a push over and give everything away for free with the most generous benefits system in the world that a 3 year old could fraud £10,000's from. They don't even ask to see a birth certificate for any of your children when you claim benefits!

Of course it is. That's the point.
We have been so comfortable for so long that the so-called powers that be don't realise that nt everybody in this world is scrupulously honest and that the many of policies that were admirably put in place before and just after the last war are now hopelessly out of date and so open to being taken advantage of they are a joke.
I haven't read all of this thread, but these cash for crash scammers are scum, wherever they come from. But, it has to be said, that if as a country we allow completely unfettered immigration then we will also attract the good and the bad . And, as our systems are so open to fraud, then we become a magnet for the thieves and cheats as well as the genuinely industrious.
We are being very badly let down by our politicians who are not protecting us, and as a result the make up and the economy of our country is going to be unrecognisable to our children and our grand children before much longer.
And before anybody starts shouting "racism" or similar, no it is not. It is realism.
