Re: UT Restoration, New Thread, NEW SHELL!!!!!

Finally some great news. Was it originally an UT or just a 'normal' one?

Re: UT Restoration, New Thread, NEW SHELL!!!!!

yeah, watch it as the updates will come fast! just got to get it trailored to mine! and get the engine out my UT shell!

alex, its a normal one :( but its gonna get fully seem welded and a full cage so will be strong as anything! plus its gonna have as much underseal/waxoil as i can get on it lol!

:woot:

Great news Dunc! Nice to see the the rabid turbo project back on track - soon you'll be out terrorising Corsas and Paxos again :D

By the way, does the turbo have a different steering rack to the standard Unos? And I notice that the brake servo is on the passenger side rather than the drivers side. Again, is that a turbo speciality? Just kind of curious!

Really wish you the best of luck with this one after the dead end with the last shell.

Oh, and don't forget that bit in a previous post about 'angle grinders' and 'chassis plates' (ahem!) ;)

Looking forward to see the project pick up speed again (y)

yeah the turbo does have a different rack but as my mate was reshelling his UT, he's already fitted that along with pedal box and the brake servo (hence its on the passenger side ;) )
