Re: UT Restoration, New Thread. UPDATED 07/07/08 GEARBOX BACK ON AND NEARLY READY TO

been busy with uni and stuff, wasnt till the other day when i saw a few unos on the m1 that i thought, "wonder where duncs up to with the UT now"

come on alot since i last saw it to be fair! good work. you should have plenty of time to get them bits on teh 'box done what with all this wet weather!

Re: UT Restoration, New Thread. UPDATED 07/07/08 GEARBOX BACK ON AND NEARLY READY TO

yeah, i have got time to do it, but i wanted to get the box on with my mate, and he could only do sunday morning. So didnt have chance to do it :p

Right, was back down at the uno last nite and i checked a few things over, then filled the new tank up with fuel!! Filled it up, no leaks, connected the battery and primed the fuel lines etc, got it up to pressure, no leaks :D then, when to fire it up, and the battery had ran out! lol! gutted! just not enough juice in it to fire it! DOH!!!

also got my boot on and all the catches on, so the list now looks like this...

1) Bleed Clutch
2) Charge Battery
3) Change Oil & Oil Filter
4) Go Round and check whole car over

So, nearly there! then its MOT time, Rolling Road, then respray. Job Done.....ish ;)

Re: UT Restoration, New Thread. UPDATED 07/07/08 GEARBOX BACK ON AND NEARLY READY TO

i would upgrade the battery two. With everything you have done it is about the easiest job to do lol

Re: UT Restoration, New Thread. UPDATED 07/07/08 GEARBOX BACK ON AND NEARLY READY TO

Yeah, i'll upgrade the battery later, but for now i'll just jump start it as the battery isnt knackered. Hoping to get tomorrow off work and get down there, fire it up, get it up to temperature then change the oil/filter and check over the whole car. then its just a case of bleeding the clutch when i can get a mate to give me a hand!

Re: UT Restoration, New Thread. UPDATED 27/06/08 COSSIE FUEL PUMP & LAGUNA SPLITTER!

Hellcat, the standard batterys are heavy, but im not too fussed as its good to have a little weight in the rear end!! I already need to fit a Brake Bias adjuster as its waaaaaaaaaaaay too light on the rear under heavy braking! feels like the rears gonna over take u! lol

Blu, this wont be its first run out lol, it was MOTed last year remember and i did about 400 miles! lol

but yeah, i'll get vids once its setup and running full boost ;)

Excellent work Dunc! (y) Glad to see it's all coming together now, especially after the scare a few months back that you were gonna abort the project and break for parts!

Out of interest, how much did it cost to have the gearbox re-conditioned and who did it? Might need one doing myself!
