Hi all,

Read a lot of the threads on here about putting the lead into the back of the head unit to play an ipod.

Ordered lead, broke out 3 pins and took head unit out. Then I put the lead in to test and put the radio on.............. NO aux!!?!?!?! I cant get it anywhere, pressing cd twice, etc nothing worse. Starting to think my head unit wasnt compatible (56 plate) i compared wiring diagrams. On the ones in the other thread like this:

there are A-AF, A-R etc named next to the places you need to put the lead into. On mine.. nothing...!!? So i am now 99% sure my head unit wont work? I am just seeking to check this is correct really?? is there any other way to get the AUX channel?

If not i suppose the only other option is get a new head unit with aux etc. if yes, will any head unit connect to the leads in the fiat. (i assume yes)?

Lots of questions! Thanks in advance for help!

I wonder if the compatability came at the same time as trim change? Has anyone found it didn't work with a car with the newer style seat covers? (i.e. 2007 m.y. cars)

for info, my 2007 m.y. (56 plate Dynamic) has no MP3 logo but does have the later seats - (charcoal with colour in the middle section) and DOES have the sticker on the HU indicating that the wires will work.:D

I have a Dension Gateway 100 ipod controller going spare which just plugs straight into the back of the head unit - you can then control the ipod via headunit and the steering wheel controls.
Make me an offer and it's yours!
