I've got a 1999 2.8 TD based Autotrail Mohican motor-home. It has got the old style single glass rectangular mirrors. Does anyone know if the later "D" shaped twin glass mirrors are compatible with my doors? If not, can the doors or mirrors be modified without too much trouble and butchering to fit? I spoke to a mirror supplier and he did not think it possible, but had not actually tried it. On Sunday I parked next to a later Fiat based motor-home with the D shaped mirrors and the external plate looked identical, but of course I couldn't see underneath it.
So I would appreciate any experiences from anyone who has attempted to do this, especially if they were successful, what difficulties they encountered and how they overcame them.
