i feel hes using the wrong lower to as the 45 will never be able to make more than 200bhp where as the 62 is capable of about 250 bhp and has a clutch so it doesnt have to run all the time

yep lol it was where i was gunna run it lol a bit of a coincedence dont you think lol
i wasnt gunna do it cos of the power issue but now ive found a charger that will runn enough power i think its gunna be a goa lol

good stuff, could turn out to be a cheaper alternative to the turbo conversion, but then again you wont get the sound of the turbo and dump valve lol

this was done on a standed 2.o engine running 134bhp so the results will probably see about 190bhp on the hgt before mapping etc the guy from eaton reckons it will do 220bhp all day long but says if i wanted more power it would defonatly want a turbo aswell as the bigger supercharger simply wouldnt fit in the bay lol

162bhp@4100rpm and 233.51nm@ 6000rpm and the S/C ratio is 2.73 at 6000rpm

well the bugger sold it didnt he lol so i guess its time to start searching again lol

can u get a turbo for a 1.6 or a charger or do u need a 2.0 and do u know a rough price on them

you can do anything to anything mate but as ive learnt it costs money lol
everything im doing is custom i dont know weather there is anything for the 1.6 but theres no off the shelf stuff for the hgt.
the charger im using is an eaton m62 with clutch off a toyota carrolla from australia it is used on other cars but the best come from australia as they have clutches, anybigger and they wont fit under the bonnet.
unless youre planning on spending about £3000 you might aswell buy nos or pay £2500 for a garage to fit a 20vt lump from a coupe turbo.
you can fit a m45 but for what it would cost you would be better off having the coupe engine as the gains from charging the 1.6 wouldnt be much more than the std power of a hgt as the charger its self is capable of more than 190bhp and at that power you would need to change all your internals as it would raise the compresion ratio to high and melt a piston lol
what i will say is it is one steep learning curve and it can get trickey but its worth every penny when its all done cos knowing youve got say the fastest 1.6 or fastest 2.0 is better than you can imagine lol
if you comletely nuts you could always stick a alfa v6 from a gta in it lol

right i have just found out some more info lol

i will require a standed 20vt intercooler if anybody knows of one please.
