Technical Uno Start

sum times it wont start then it does but wen its running it will get to say 30 in second n start spluttering then the next minute it will hit 40 in second no problem any1 no wot the problem is im baffled thanx peeps

I am not sure at all, but do a search for "vacuum advance" on these forums. It sounds similar to what I've read on here before.

worth replacing the vacume advance unit on the distributor.. seems to be the most common cause of faults on these unos. its a cheap part to replace and if it doesnt solve it atleast its one less thing to go in the future

its a little 1l petrol as for other symptons only sumtimes if u giv it big revs it will backfire in the exhuast :bang:

The Uno Start is a branding for “Base Model” and I think they are all fuel Injection. The 1108 engine is the same as the 999 more or less.

Do you know when the spark plugs, rotor arm and distributor cap were last replaced?

TBH I’m suspecting the distributor pickup sensor is on its way out. Where are you from? I have a known good distributor you could borrow. I’m in Manchester.
