They look the nuts

I read your whole thread at last... great work (y)
Quite the transformation!

It's easy to forget that while it's wintertime here, and difficult to get stuff done, productivity is cranking in England.

hi! just read this thread
about your ind kit on my mk2 45s (my 1st car) i fitted a k&n bolt on filter and ran acold air intake from the front grill by moving the existing air intake from behind the headlight and cutting itto fit behind the grill then used a piece of aluminium tube with a bend in it (to reduce the risk of water) and guide the air to the filter,
this worked great and on motorways the engine temp would drop to quarter even when driven flatout

Hey
Im liking the mods on the uno so far i got my uno wen i was 15 and it was a shed! Its a 1.4 ies 1993 i paid £92.50 for it! The first pic is wot it looked like when i first got it and now 18 months on after alot of time money and hard work it looks how it does in pics 2 and 3 only it has side skirts on now aswell.

I did alot of work on mine ripped out the interior n fitted fiat coupe 20VT full black leather interior that was a nightmare but i have never seen another uno with the same interior. I fitted a full turbo bodykit and lowered it 60mm. I also put mk2 turbo dials in it and a mk2 turbo steering wheel. It has an omp turbo exhaust (had to be welded on) and a k & n air filter. Has a great rumble to it now!!!

I sits on 15" TSW Alpines with 195 45 r15 tyres on and it only rubs wen thers sum1 over 10 stone in the back lol.

Basically mine has had turbo evrything apatrt from engine gearbox and rear axle but all in good time it shall be converted!!!!

I am 17 and have my test booked for this time next month i insured the car in my name with me only having a provisional licence and its £1800 a year if that helps you out with your insurance cost quieries!!!!!

Good luck with the rest of the work and believe me it will be worth it i love mine and it gives me such a good feekling to know i did it myself!!!

Let me know wot u think of my uno!!!!!

mmmm it looks quality!
Luv the seats! are they clear/smoked punto side repeaters?? lol
I want to get all ma pics up, i got some of the seats, and other interiors, i have the custom exhaust.
I read that the K+N bolt on due to bein at the top of the engine can attract hot air, so i will probably be buyin a full induction kit..
How much has your uno cost including the £92.50 you paid for it?
:)
gav

Itsw cost around £900 but worth every penny. The repeaters are jus a set of universal clear ova ones do the job and look good i think all for £15!
Glad u like it!!!

woah, in total including the price for the uno its come to a total of £336.09
i Keep track of the money i spend on it and what on (y):D

How well do they fit, i wanted punto ones on mine:p
so i got some n im jus in the process of ctting a slightly bigger hole and glueing them down :yum:

I paid £46 for my mk1 45S back in April 2003 ;) Four years and 35K miles later it still runs great (y)

Those seats look great! Really, really nice. I've just fitted a set of mk2 Turbo seats to mine. They look ok and hold me a lot more firm than the squishy 45S seats did but those leather seats look class.

I forget how lucky I am being an old git. I pay about £150, fully comp, protected no claims bonus, legal cover etc. etc. etc. and I think that's too much!

Good luck with the rest of the work and believe me it will be worth it i love mine and it gives me such a good feekling to know i did it myself!!!

It certainly does. And with the Uno becoming rare on British roads a well kept and subtly modified example really does look good and stands out. I get quite a few positive comments about mine even though it's a bit scruffy in my opinion. Then again, mk1 Unos are very rare now and despite the scratches, dents and rusty drivers door my car is kept clean and polished. Lots of plans ahead for mine and hopefully I'll be getting down to doing some work on it in the very near future.

Let me know wot u think of my uno!!!!!

It looks good! Keep the mods subtle and it will look a million times better than plastering it in Chav type rubbish. Personally I feel that a well modded car looks like it could have come from the factory, but in fact has lots of well thought out changes/ mods. Make it the Uno model that Fiat never made ;)

My side repeaters went straight in no cutting no wiring very simple to fit and i woould recomend them!!!!

Cheers uno 45s glad u like it. No more visual mods now just a set off uno turbo rear lenses i think then shes done. Gotta save up and get some money for a turbo engine and running gear!!:D
I'll putm sum pics up of the front seats tonite if i can find my camera.;
Does anyone else know of ano uno with the same seats as it would b interesting to see how they fitted them as mine wer a nightmare and i had to fabricate loads of brackets and fittings:( .
Any more subtle mods anyone can think of??????
Cheers Josh

i know what you mean about seat brackets! The Uno brackets are right kak! and hard to work with, but abit of box section and a welder helps :D

My side repeaters look the nuts, the wiring was straight fit but jus have to widen the hole a little

well i think my uno is the cheapest yet;)
FREE! :yum:

Have u replaced the rear seats if not then dont because it is a nightmare!!!!! I thought the front ones wer hard but in comparison its **** easy lol!!!!
What engine is your uno????
I think i got a bargain with mine has 82,000 on the clock with full service history and a load of old MOT's and bills!!!

only a 1 litre!
Im still debating whether to have rear seats or not!, i hate mine as they dont match the Recaros so i will probably jus keep them out as it looks smarter :D

some piccies from 2 weeks ago! finally uploaded

sorting out my ICE at the moment, im installing my amp under my seat now
i have a small fan alos to keep it cool underneath and a non-visible red neon under there too! :)
I still have to do some more bodyfilling, smooth the boot, door solenoids, fit an alarm, refurb wheels probs in anthracite and air intake kit.
then all the body panels sprayed in the original white and a small uno spoiler
