Uno Fire speedo cable sought
I'm not sure if it's the same fitment for fire gearboxes with under car gear shift as the later type which have a rod and 2 cables.
Whay year Uno and do you need to depress the gear knob before you can select reverse?

Would you know if this is the same cable as used on the later C514 gearbox? Like the one I sold you. Think I have a spare cable but don't know if it will fit

It is a different part for the later C514 box, as you'd expect. I have been thinking; my car was a carb 45 which had the old gearbox and this part at some point. I will go and look through my spares box as I know there are a couple in there. I'll post some pictures later.

hmmmmm,
allthe speedo cables ive ever used seem to work with each gearbox? The 1.0 looks the same as the turbo ones, and the turbo one works with the lancia gearbox which im running in mine as does the 1.0 one!

Dunc you've not seen the MK1 Turbo bottom shift cable.. that won't fit the topshift as thread is diferent.
the Late Topshift fire gearbox (which your Uno don't have) has a diferent keyway to the turbo.
Perhaps the topshift turbo and early fire boxes are the same.

Got round to finding cables. One is a late UT cable that won't fit, but two others I found are the same and one of them could be from a suitable car. I've taken a close-up of the ends. I managed to trial fit one to a late C514 box. Don't know what that means in terms of fitment to the older box.
