Hello All
I can't believe that my Uno broke down. First time it has done so and I've had the car for nearly 2 years and more than 28,000 miles.
Driving at about 40mph, a slight hesitation suggesting lack of fuel, then the engine stopped. It restarted reluctantly, ran for a couple of seconds, then stopped.
After towing it home, I loosened the bleed nipple + both pipes to / from filter, pumped the rubber bulb thingy. No result. Changed filter, filling new one with diesel first. Completely disconnected pipe from bulb to filter, pumped it, but still no fuel came out. Bulb does feel very firm.
Any ideas? Oh incidentally I did put a gallon of diesel in when I got home, but it was indicating a quarter of a tank and it's uaually reliable (I note mileage on fuel receipts).
Thanks in advance
