ulysse radio code

I bought an 1997 uylsse, when i test drove the car the radio was working fine.

Once i bought it and took it home the radio was insisting on a code.
I phoned the dealers to find out the code but they didnot have it and advised me to contact fiat.

But before i do that i wanted to know if they "FIAT" hide the coed any where on the car as i know that ford hide codes on the base of the ash trays.

If it's not with the documentation that came with the car, ask the previous owner?

Or replace the stereo... but that's quite drastic.

usually a plastic wallet type folder is included in car glovebox.
radio code is on inside stuck to clear plastic pocket. 4 digits.
hope this helps. You may also b able to help me. i have 1999 ulysse and blew cig lighter fuse. cant fide fusebox in car ANYWHERE under dash, i know i have nearly dismantled most of it. book says under steering wheel but there is only a little pocket just big enough for my spare glasses case. changed all fuses under bonnet. no luck.
