Whether they change it or not ill still be cruising at around that figure. There's nothing wrong with it and it keeps me awake. Seventy is dangerous for me as I get bored and fall asleep. Nearer ninety and I'm alert.

I can smell the bullplop from here.
Full marks for "honesty", but perhaps you should paint a big notice on the bonnet of your car, backwards so it can be read in the mirror of the car you are coming up behind:Whether they change it or not ill still be cruising at around that figure. I cringe when I see small engine'd cars go past me, screaming their little pistons out.
small engine cars are lighter so easier to stop
How is that bull****? I never said speed is cool. Just motorway driving is full and its far better driving in the 80s than the 70s. Only problem with people speeding on motorways is the dickheads that don't know how to drive and stay in the middle lane or outside lane. They're overtaking lanes and that's it. Not a slow lane, slightly faster lane and slightly faster again lane. That's the only danger on motorways. Speed doesn't kill, bad driving does.
Like I say speed DOES NOT kill. Go ask Sebastien Loeb or Lewis Hamilton. Proof that speed does not kill, its crap drivers that do. They staying awake bit was a bit over dramatic, what I was trying to get at is 80mph is safer as you have to be more alert. Cars ain't what they used to be. When was the 70mph limit brought it! How much have cars moved on since then. It's the same when you've got some dickhead doing 40 on a sixty road! Hazard! Too many **** drivers out there, forget speed limits, get all the crap drivers off the road.
How did Ayrton Senna die? ...
and even in the cases of Ayrton Senna, again it wasn't the speed. He's done that speed plenty of times, has he died each time? No! Why coz it ain't the speed that killed, its the driver error. Take all variables in to account... area of the road stays the same, speed stays the same, car the same etc etc... what changes? Driver input. It's obvious. And anyone denying it is either doing so for the sake of it or really is thick. Watch police chase shows and they mention a lot of the time its not the speed just the skills of the driver. Go on an advanced driving course and they will tell you that too.
